Conclusion: Which one is better: HTC Vive or Oculus rift?  They are very similar. Many of the hardware specs, such as the internal display, resolution and field of view, are virtually the same between the Rift and Vive. Currently Oculus Rift poses a strong demand in the market and is a powerful virtual reality headset for a price much cheaper than the HTC Vive. That is truly an advantage, unless of course Oculus Rift’s inflexible processor and video output requirements will  add more billings to your budget.

Some of the top most game titles available for Oculus Rift ranges from ‘The Climb’ : A Rift exclusive VR climbing game from CRYTEK to EVE Valkyrie : Space Dog-fights among Rift Users while the games that are out now for HTC Vive ranges from The Gallery : Call of the Starseed meant for fantasy adventure gaming enthusiasts to a multiplayer combat and flying game known as Hover Junkers. The counterpart, HTC Vive is equipped with a front facing camera and two controller which comes bundled within the order which completely changes how users interact with VR. The Vive sports a design that looks straight from our sci-fi dreams in a charming prototypical form. Although, The HTC Vive is a bit pricey as compared to Oculus Rift which makes it less approachable for gaming enthusiasts with a smaller budget, Its price is somewhat justifiable with the value it provides by offering controllers and user friendly interface. Plus, Oculus Rift won’t be able to produce controllers until late 2016.We are eagerly waiting for HTC Vive to introduce more of the core gaming experiences which is guaranteed by its involvement with the Steam Platform and the advanced technology with which it is being built.

While neither of the VR headsets lacks in terms of specification, The Vive feels more immersive because it’s a standing, walking experience rather than a seated experience. They both are mighty and impressive machine and are tremendously supported by top tech giants i.e. Facebook and Valve. It all depends upon how much amount of money you are willing to shell out? My choice was Vive.
